I hope James Wood doesn’t become “suicidal”.
He had lots of demons. Coke and alcohol were just two.
Can’t be bothered to turn on the sympathy meter. Never could stand him but a couple months ago happened to be scanning the channels and stopped on his show when he was drunk or high and being rude to his hosts.
Kate Spade (scarf lady) also heavily criticized Harvey Weinstein shortly before “suicide”. Did she know Hillary?
Unknown , but she had known mental problems for long time.................
How incredibly moving. I had never again watched Bourdain after one or two episodes years ago—I thought he was just an obnoxious New Yorker all full of himself while slumming around the world. The humility and appreciation he displayed in this episode, the grace to admire the love and devotion and beauty of these people and their way of life, was amazing to watch.
I am sensing that this encounter with these people threw his soul into turmoil. I am so happy the people prayed over him and that he bowed his head and respected what they were doing in prayer. I hope his soul is redeemed. I don't know if he was murdered or not, but I hope for his sake he cried out to the Lord and was accepted, just as he accepted these people he had been encultured to abhor.
Supposedly was involved in funding the Clinton Foundation in Haiti.
Looks like the Clintons got the final word regarding him.
That episode was incredibly sincere and moving. I sensed something of a change in Bourdain's demeanor, a humility if you will. I suspect God was working in his heart, and I hope that he was able to turn it over to Jesus.
His death is puzzling, and I don't rule out murder. It could have been something as mundane as a jealous rival. Too bad he didn't linger awhile longer in West Virginia. It would have been good for his heart and psyche, not to mention his life itself.
In a recent news story (last couple weeks) there was a study published ranking US states by the percentage of psychopaths residing in each one. The state with the lowest number of psychopaths was West Virginia. After watching Bourdain's report, it seems self evident.
