An operational planning staff member once told me that the Soviet Union, and now Russia, is basically a third world country with a first class military. Can a third world country actually wage a prolonged War? Maybe for a Time, but resources would soon dwindle. Russia knows this, and the Russian knows that we know this as well. Putin is a poser for the sake of his political stature within his own country. Apparently the left in America, thinking like the Russian, makes more Ado About Putin then most people would outside of Putin’s Sphere of influence.

Congress has authority to make a declaration of war. If Blumenthal really believed his own BS about Russia, he’d introduce a resolution in the Senate for such a declaration and would have Pelosi do the same in the House.
If McConnell knew what he was doing, he would introduce the “Richard Blumenthal Declaration of War on Russia” and put it to a vote. Smoke these vermin out of their holes.

CT is geographically a beautiful state. It has one of the highest median incomes in the US. So why can’t they do better than electing crazy people such as Blumenthal? It wasn’t that way when I grew up there in the 1950s and 1960s.
