In East Tennessee, the conservative Davis was elected to the congress out of a field including establishment Republicans. Two years later, the establishment Dr Phil Roe having no other republican opposition handily defeated the conservative Davis.
That is, Tennessee is Republican but not conservative.
Probably an accurate description, except Corker is no conservative.
I can remember when it was a RAT state.
And AlGore was a senator.
And some other RAT senator. I can’t remember his name,
but he ended up being an ambassador to Chine when he got
his butt beat.
That’s merely a testament to having open primaries with Democrats voting for the most left-wing RINO. That could be changed and we could finally get the non-RINO elected officials that actually reflect the Conservative voting base.
