SEOUL (Reuters) U.S. and North Korean military officials met on the inter-Korean border on Sunday to discuss the return of remains of U.S. soldiers killed in the 1950-53 Korean War, the first time in nine years that generals from the two sides have held talks, South Koreas Yonhap news agency said.
The repatriation of U.S. remains was one of the agreements reached during an unprecedented summit between U.S. President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in June in Singapore.

Good...seems that the Norks are back on track.
Need this to happen soon to show something resembling good faith. The NorKs have been pretty short on that, historically.
Bring all of our brave Boys home, Mr President.
Thank you so much. We must never forget those heroic young men who travelled half way across the world to fight for freedom against Red Tyranny

It’s so obviously the proper course of action.
Master Sergeant Vizuete was a member of Company B, 1st Battalion, 5th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division. He was taken Prisoner of War while fighting the enemy in South Korea on July 25, 1950 and was killed by a guard on October 31, 1950. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
For his leadership and valor, Master Sergeant Vizuete was awarded the Bronze Star with Oak Leaf Cluster(two time recipient), the Purple Heart with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters(three time recipient), the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Prisoner of War Medal, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
Master Sergeant Vizuete was my uncle. He died on the day I was born.
Doubt they were ever off track.
The press is doing it’s best to toss a wrench in the monkey works.
This may not work out to be the straight line we’d like it to be, but I believe we’ll wind up with the results we want, even if it does take a more circuitous route.
Thank you my friend for your wonderful post.
All the courageous servicemen and women who die defending the Republic will achieve an imortality of such, us mere civilians will never acquire.
We will remember Master Seargent Vizuete
For now. They are so bipolar you never know what they will do. I hope they give us the remains, though.
Thank you. A few months before my father passed away, he sent in a DNA sample. I will never give up hope. You have warmed my heart and me reminded me to give thanks for so many who give the ultimate sacrifice. Ours is the greatest country ever. God Bless.
