Boston Globe had an interesting article recently -- no one's talking about the Red Sox:
"Here in baseball-savvy Boston, the Olde Towne Team is playing at a near-record pace, but it seems the local sports fans only want to talk about the Celtics and NBA free agency, Tom Brady and Julian Edelman."

I've noticed also on national sports talk shows, there's very little talk about MLB.
ESPN hates MLB. You still can’t moonwalk and do a swishy celebration dance after a routine single like they routinely can do for the equivalent play in NBA or NFL.
No one likes 90+ in the ribs.
