*****There was a time in my life where a CC would be completely off limits. Cash only.

To say that it doesn’t work for those that can afford it is rubbish. I can go to Hawaii tomorrow for free, first class with beach resort if I wanted to.*****

I just don’t understand how people who populate the most conservative website on the planet can’t see the trap!

“cashless” will be implemented, not “happen”. And sooner rather than later if enough people help set it up...hint hint

You must never need to rent a car or reserve a hotel room, some will work with debit but dislike it and will put a hold on their payment amount to make sure it’s there come time to complete the transaction.

So I should reduce the spending power of my wealth by 1.5% - 5% and at the same time subsidize those who do not think as you?
Tell ya what FRiend, get the government to outlaw CCs and rewards and demand a “CASH ONY” society and I’ll jump right on board. But until that happens, to NOT take advantage of what’s out there is just throwing money away.

I’m in my mid 70s, my days of tilting at windmills are far away in my rearview mirror.

You are missing a key aspect of society that is “cash only”.

The USA is not going there.

The IRS would love it but it isn’t going to happen.

Those that can pay off that card every month will get rewards. That is the benefit.

Many in the USA do not use credit cards at all.

If you think past riots over some lawful miscarriage of justice was wild, try taking away cash. All cities will burn.

Yep. I buy a large frozen drink for 88c. Pay with a CC.

At some point, that will be the point.

How is that a trap?

Say I have a 100 bill in my pocket and a CC that pays 5% cash back on a tab.

What say you?

It will never be the point. Card Holders who pay every month keep the stability of the issuer balanced.

Those that pay the interest gives them the profit.

Anything other than straight up cash is you being manipulated by the bankers for their own ends. If you cannot see that then enjoy our chains, because you are a willfull instrument in mankinds enslavement. And don’t plead ignorance...

I get 5% back with the card.

For all disclosure, sometimes BofA pays me to fix stuff.

So when this cashless society comes about and the Socialists have taken over, will you be OK with the Mandate that YOUR second house be used for “migrants”? How will those pittances compare?

mankinds enslavement is pretty old-fashioned.

I like natural common sense. It fits my profile from year one.

You mean the 5 bucks?

Well, 5 bucks is 5 bucks. No wonder you have a problem.

Ok Then, take advantage of the enslavers. You will reap the rewards. I used to think that FR was populated with those who got it, understood it well enough to educate others, and were in the marketplace telling the truth...you, not so much.

This article is about JP Morgan bitching about rewards programs paying to much.

You go off on some stupid tirade against banks for issuing credit.

Don’t accuse me of anything you dumbass. It is how people move up the ladder. If your on the first rung and don’t have a three point connection, get off.

You asked for it, you got it. Toyota.
