Chuck Schumer said Tuesday that he will fight President Donald Trump's Supreme Court nominee "with everything I've got," but centrist Democrats are now saying that the Senate minority leader cannot tell them what to do or how to vote on Brett Kavanaugh's nomination.
Dummycrats are all talk, just like RINO GOP. They did jack squat against Gorsuch. The next one will be the same with Barrett once Ginsburg croaks..
I love it when Dems tell Chuckie to stick it. LOL!
“LOL...poor Schmuckie. Can someone please inform Schmuckie of his irrelevance?”
One gets the feeling several rat $inators are not willing to vote against our Scotus candidate and commit political suicide for Chuckie.
This is just theater - playacting to show red state voters that their Democratic senators are pushing back against big bad Schumer. It’s a complete line of BS. If McConnell can’t line up 50 GOP votes, Kavanaugh will not get any Democratic votes.
Chuckie!!!!
Joe Crowley, who lost the primary to Ocasio-Cortez, is apparently running as a member of a third party. He’s pulling a Joe Lieberman. What I think we’re seeing here is some push back by the more, for lack of a better term, moderate elements of the Democratic party against the inevitability of a new communist Democratic party. Schumer was trying to get ahead of what was perceived as the coming super-left lurch of the Democratic constituency. Others are apparently saying, “Whoa, I ain’t going any further left. If I do, I won’t be elected again.”
I think the former are wrong and the public will not elect a plurality of uber-leftists to office. I think the Democrats will lose even more elected offices during the midterms. The Dems who are pushing back will be proven correct and may, or may not, be reelected. But, they will help put Trump’s SCOTUS pick into office. To do otherwise invites Trump to pick an even more hard core candidate and dare them to vote against his candidate again. Doing so would strengthen his hand in the midterms.
This is unmitigated BS. The Republicans have 50 votes.
It’s already been leaked that Shumer told the Democrat Senators in red states to “vote their conscience” (direct quote).
That is, vote to confirm, so as to fool people into thinking they are not really liberal puppets who vote party line when it matters.
This story is a lie, planted to support this subterfuge.
Don’t believe it for a second. It’s all about fooling moderate/conservative voters.
Time to Walk Away
“his is just theater - playacting to show red state voters that their Democratic senators are pushing back against big bad Schumer. Its a complete line of BS. If McConnell cant line up 50 GOP votes, Kavanaugh will not get any Democratic votes.”
Yep. See my post above. You are exactly right.
This is all a show for those easily fooled.
Elections have consequences Chucky. Yeah, they do.
I sure hope they all vote for confirmation and then lose their seats anyway.
>>centrist Democrats are now saying that the Senate minority leader cannot tell them what to do
Is he still a “leader” if nobody follows?
I’ve learned many years ago NOT to vote for ANY Democrat above state level, ever.
Damned near violated my own rule with Al Gore but I pulled back in time.
(To “appropriate” a Yiddish term) Whadda Putz he is!
Amul Thapar to replace Breyer.
This asshole is becoming more and more like McCain. Neither can ever STFU.
“centrist Democrats are now saying that the Senate minority leader cannot tell them what to do or how to vote on Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination.”
Didn’t they get the memo/marching orders from Turbin?
The beginning of the end for the Democrat Party.
The members are getting fed up with both the Senate and House “leadership” (term used VERY lightly)
