Mueller Indicts 12 Russian Officers for Hacking Dems in 2016

Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein announced on Friday that 12 Russian intelligence officers was indicted by Special Counsel Robert Mueller in the ongoing Trump-Russia investigation. The officers are members of the GRU, and are all named as having allegedly hacked the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, Democratic National Committee, and the Hillary Clinton campaign. CNN reported that prosecutors from Mueller's office and the Justice Department's National Security Division gave a grand jury indictment to a D.C. federal magistrate judge on Thursday morning. The indictment comes just one day before President Trump is set to meet Russian president Vladimir Putin in Helsinki for their first one-on-one meeting

They cannot be indicted and are not subject to US laws. This is probably the first move in shutting down the investigation since there has been no implication that Trump is involved.

Way too convenient - all wrapped up, with a bow on top. Those GRU guys are a logical target, they're not clean - they're hired to hack, spy, surveil, get up in everyone's business - that's their job, that's how they earn their paychecks. They're known to our intel services, so it's easy to accuse them by name and make it plausible. The response from the Russians should be interesting. If they hire lawyers to fight it like that other group did, might get dicey for Mueller & co.

Are these the ones that said they wanted to testify? If so, not being a lawyer, I remember someone saying the “discovery” would be in play. Again, I’m not a lawyer, but I do remember that as one of the reasons Mueller didn’t want them to testify. Someone confirm or correct me, please.

Yes..they’re listed in the indictment....They were Russian military army officers. Will be interesting if Trump hands Putin the names since Putins been asking for such for a long time now.

Even so according to the indictment they just want assets and $$$ in return as I read it.
