After hearing today that A.G. Jeff Sessions did not know if FBI Peter Strzok still has a top security clearance (apparently--incredibly--he still does), and seeing how untrustworthy Deputy A.G. Rosenstein is, I can't take it anymore.
So my question is, why hasn't President Trump fired Sessions and Rosenstein yet? I can at least a little bit understand not firing Mueller, since he essentially has the President under investigation, but there's no such "conflicts" with Sessions and Rosenstein.
Can someone help me with this? I really want to know.
Trump is not finished with them yet. Trump does or does not do as suits his purposes. Rosenstein is hanging himself and making it obvious to all. Sessions is staying out of the ack-ack and methodically getting all the ducks in the proper row. Insults and calls for his resignation or termination from Trumpians and from the likes of FR posters is part of the program. Such calls keep Sessions from being blocked and hindered by Democrats and Co.
You are assuming the probe has an end.

President Trump is controlling this and showing us who all these people really are.
Cohen? He is part of the act, do real witnesses report to the press? Do interviews? Hang out with Tom Arnold? Think about it. Do you think he had millions of documents in his house and office that could put him and his clients away for life? I don’t believe any lawyer would ever be that careless... Unless it is part of the act.
The only part I can’t figure out is if Mueller is in on it, or is he the schlub who is going to find out that he is the joke?

Sessions is a non-acting AG.
Because his lawyers have been telling him the whole time that if he fires Mueller or Rosenstein he would be giving them more grist for the mill of the Special Counsel’s ridiculous claim that Trump has attempted to obstruct the investigation of supposed Trump campaign collusion with Russia, as for example the firing of Comey.
Trump has held off because his lawyers have been telling him for a long time that an end to the Mueller investigation is just around the corner. It was supposed to be done by Thanksgiving, then by Christmas, then in January or February, then Rudy was brought on board and claimed it would end in a few weeks, and on and on.
I think this is because Mueller has been stringing along Trump’s lawyers and giving them the impression the end was always just around the next corner.
We see this in the way Mueller has been playing the requested interview with Trump, and from what Rudy is saying Mueller is giving the impression that if only Trump would agree to an interview with Mueller the ending would be just around the corner. (Trump would be insane to agree to be questioned by Mueller.)
Also, Mueller has been adding staff from the local US Attorney’s offices as counsel of record in his cases, leading people to speculate that just around the corner he will end his investigation and hand off the ongoing cases to the regular DOJ.
However, there is no reason to believe the end of the investigation is near.
The reason Mueller is adding local counsel to his cases is probably as an insurance policy in case he loses in court on the question of whether he as special counsel is properly authorized to prosecute these cases.
And more importantly, as long as the investigation is “ongoing” then the swamp can shield themselves from having to reveal documents and testimony showing their many crimes, such as using government power to deny Donald Trump and his campaign their civil rights to participate in the electoral process, exercise free speech and run for political office free of government surveillance and interference.
There certainly is no incentive for Mueller to wrap up the investigation. And he is allowed to lie to people about his intentions; courts have ruled that investigators may lie to the targets and subjects of investigation, even though it is a felony if targets and subjects lie to investigators.
And if Trump fires Sessions, McConnell and the other GOPe have made clear they will not confirm a successor.

I love Trump.. But if he is so smart about Sessions, why does he always tweet, “Where is the Attorney General”. He’s the boss, pick up the phone and ask Sessions what the hell is he doing about the DOJ and FBI. Simple.’
LOL! the Mueller probe doesn't have an "end" except to hurt Trump. If the Dems don't take both houses in November, it continues until October 2020.

Various judges stop sanctuary city policy ban,and stop limits on immigration. Congress slow walks the Wall or the replacement for Obamacare and thus insures its continuation de facto, and no one can fire Sessions, Rosenstein, Mueller, or anyone else. Quagmire.
Michael Savage says if Trump fires anyone the RINOs will be mad at him the media hate him and denounce him and Congress will grumble about impeachment. But that’s what they do NOW. They are not pleased or satisfied by appeasement or surrender or being nice.
If you fire Rosenweasel you break Mueller’s back. RR has given Trump PLENTY of cause to fire him. He even threatened house members. I can see why he cannot fire Sessions or Mueller but he could fire Rosenstein and kill this witch hunt. Why does not is beyond me. I don’t think Trump has any idea how much his base despises that little prick.
Before the end of the year they go. Rosenstein likely first.
