Three teen baby-sitters heard laughing in the background of a Snapchat video that allegedly shows them terrorizing a 1-year-old with a Taser have all been arrested.
Elyssia Watkins brought her toddler to Conway Regional Medical Center after the troubling video surfaced online Monday. Her daughter was not injured, but she still reported the alleged abuse, sharing the clip with officer Brittani Little the same day.
The video “appeared to depict three female teens laughing hysterically while taunting the baby girl with a taser, which caused the child to scream and sob in uncontrollable fear,” according to a press release from the Conway Police Department. It “continued on, showing the teens joking and laughing when one of them forcefully struck the child in the head.”
Watkins told authorities the girls featured in the Snapchat clip had been baby-sitting her daughter at the time and that she was “unaware of the alleged abuse prior to seeing the video.”
All three of them were quickly arrested on the felony charge of endangering the welfare of a minor in the first-degree and were being held at the Faulkner County Juvenile Detention Center, authorities said.
Watkins, meanwhile, is still struggling to comprehend what happened to her little girl.
“I couldn’t even stay at work today, just keep thinking about it,” she told WFLA.
“Why do they think it’s a laughing matter? They do need to go to jail, but I hope somebody really talks to them, they get some counseling.”

I watched the video. I don't blame the kid for screaming.
The terror that that 1 yr old helpless child felt is greater than most people can even imagine. These girls aren’t just other people to so young a child. They are all knowing and all powerful to such a young psyche. Such people as these cretins need to be corrected as violently as possible.
Of course not,but I wouldn’t assume they would all become baby torturers any more than a child with two parents.

Partially the behavior, but also the taser was emitting loud electric charges in the babys face, which to a baby is not a pleasant sound.
Saw the video. Unsurprising it was Amish again. But these three take their behavior all the way to subhuman.
Felony conviction, immediate penitentiary placement, with special instructions to go ahead and Taser them for any rules violations or resistance to authority.

Endangering the welfare of a minor in the first degree, a Class D felony, pertains to a parent, guardian or other individual legally responsible for maintaining the care of a minor. If the behavior of the responsible adult creates an environment that poses a risk of serious injury or death to the minor, or the adult deserts a child under ten in that type of environment, he can be found guilty of first degree child endangerment.
Endangering the Welfare of a Minor in the Second Degree
When the responsible adult knowingly engages in behavior that causes harm or serious injury to a minor’s physical or mental well being, she is guilty of endangering the welfare of a minor in the second degree—a Class A misdemeanor. This harm or injury can be in the form of a lingering disfigurement, sustained damage to a vital organ or body part or a diminished mental or physical capacity.
Endangering the Welfare of a Minor in the Third Degree
If the reckless behavior of the responsible adult leads to the harm or injury of a minor’s physical and mental welfare, he is guilty of endangering the welfare of a minor in the third degree—a Class B misdemeanor. Sustained disfigurement, damage to physical and mental welfare or diminished organ or body-part function are used to assess guilt.

Well, a taser on a child that small is much more likely to seriously injure or kill. One slip would be all it took to make contact.
If the teen was shooting a gun near the toddler, missing it by a foot or so, that would be felony endangerment. The taser, on a child that small, could conceivably kill as dead as a gun.
I agree, but part of the education process should be slapping the livin’ snot out of those who don’t get with the program.
I’m not really into abuse, but allowing someone to progress toward hurting others is something our society should not accept from our youth. Allowing it is also abuse.
Those who cannot grasp this no matter what, need to be institutionalized to protect the public.
We tolerate far too much, and then feign disgust when they do what they are predestined to do.
