This is good news - good news indeed.
My friends have regarded Southern Georgia/Northern Florida as the ‘true South’, as anything north has been tainted with Yankees.
I always knew in my heart that the great state of South Carolina would rise again to preserve the honor that the Southern heritage deserves.

this was a few years ago at the 135 anniversary reenactment of the Battle of Chancellorsville. I took a hit early and left the battlefield. The battle ended soon and a Confederate unit was marching the on road past me.
I shouted to them “It’s Miller time.” The Reb Lieutenant shouted back, “Not in our camp, Guinness & Tullamore Dew”.
I was a thirsty Yankee Capt. at the time, and asked if they would take me as a prisoner of war. We laughed, asked what unit, he replied 5th Alabama, where fromd, his reply, Boston Massachusetts. He asked me the same questions, my answer 79th New York, Norfolk Virginia. We both laughed and he said there was something wrong with that picture.

Exactly. I was disgusted with her when she caved in to the wishes of people who insist on removing all symbols of America’s past history.
I was very interested in seeing how South Carolina voters responded to her interjecting herself into the middle of this issue.

had heard that also. Mostly in the mountains of Western NC and GA. Not strong supporters of the Confederate cause though. They were very adept at lynching and tar & feathering Confederate draft officials. Seems like that was a problem up North, same fate awaited some draft officials in the mountains of Pennsylvania.

Amen. The Battle Flag never should have been removed. Nor should any of the statues. We cannot allow PC Revisionists to re-write history in order to suit their political dogma.
