POLITICS[Video] Rod Rosenstein married to the “FOIA Stopper”Published 1 week ago on July 1, 2018 By Kari Donovan

Friday, a Citizen Journalist reported from the hearing that was scheduled at the courthouse at 333 Constitution Ave. in DC, for General Michael Flynn.

What the reporter found led her to questions about the ethics of having Rod Rosenstein’s wife, Lisa Barsamian, a US Attorney defend the DOJ.

“Rosenstein’s wife has represented the FBI, DOJ, all the Presidents, US government employees. This is a conflict of interest and should be disclosed to Congress. She is known as the FOIA Stopper. She is the one who is on the case against Judicial Watch. She is representing the DOJ as an attorney, and her husband is the is in a case, and she is well known for stopping documents from coming out. Is that a conflict of interest?”

“Did she read the OIG report? Was it altered?” Reported Task Force: Whistleblowers Journey:Live in DC.

The DOJ OIG report, which was released in June, was expected to expose mass corruption in the DOJ.

However, when it released it was heavily redacted and exposed little of substance.

Accordingly, all of the government files showing her professional activities as a US attorney and the details of those Deep State cases she has represented have been purged. Go get her Devin.

Better do what the wife says, Rod. Who knows where she might put that stopper.

Communists Democrats are winning the battle because weak Republicans are all talk and no action. The DOJ, FBI and CIA are corrupt as hell and we will never clean it up with Trump in hiding with the talk talk talk Republicans.

Thanks for posting. It is very important news.

I have not heard one word about this from Judicial Watch.

Judicial Watch is the most aggressive Conservative group investigating corruption at the DOJ and FBI.

CONFIRMED: Yates, Strzok and McCabe opened an investigation of former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort DURING the 2016 campaign, and Manafort — like Trump aide Carter Page — was the target of a special FISA surveillance warrant before and after the election

The DOJ, FBI and CIA are corrupt as hell and we will never clean it up with Trump in hiding with the talk talk talk Republicans.

**************

Rod Rosenstein is the head of a Fourth Branch of government that is totally unaccountable to the people’s representatives or to the president. Why Trump permits this perversion of the system of checks and balances to continue is beyond me.

How much more evidence of out of control bureaucrats flaunting their power and obstructing justice do we need to see? The FBI and DOJ supposedly operate under the authority of the executive branch. Yet Trump has done nothing to curb their abuses. Meanwhile, the corruption continues and Americans lose faith and confidence in their government.

No more tweets. Time for action.

Looked her up last year on LexisNexis and PACER. Don’t recall seeing her on an FOI case in about 15 years.

She joined the DOJ about 1993. Assigned to some FOI cases. Quit for a while to have children and then came back in the National Institutes of Health, where, perhaps not coincidentally, Rod Rosenstein’s sister is some kind of bigwig.

So what? Nothing is going to happen. The abuses and corruption continue apace. And we’re only seeing the tip of an iceberg.

FRiendly suggestion for future posts: Please post a link directly to the referenced article. Links to the publication’s home page do not help. This article is old enough (July 1, 2018) that it is no longer on the Populist Wire home page. I had to do a search on ‘Lisa Barsamian’ to find the article.

The republicans are all talk and no action because they are corrupt and highly blackmailable. Starting with Mitch McConnell.

If we had a FOIA Stripper, then we could expose the abuse and end the coup.

No, I’m a realist an a citizen who expects some semblance of integrity in government. What is going at the management layers of the FBI and DOJ is, at a minimum, subversion and obstruction. Does that not concern you? Does a virtual, unaccountable fourth branch of government that see’s itself above the other three branches raise any fears about the state of our democracy? Does the FISA process being turned against citizens not alarm you?

I could go on and on but the point is that key agencies within the executive branch are going rogue and nobody is being held accountable. The Founding Fathers, who had a justified fear of government power, would be horrified.

I’m sorry, but as an American, and a veteran of the armed forces, that kind of stuff terrifies me. A partisan cabal has infested our most trusted agencies. Think about that for a moment.

Its past time for Trump to start cleaning house.

The article misspells her name, too.

It should be Lisa Barsoomian.

I did more research, and it appears that Roger Stone was involved in this story last year, so, there might be a hint of conspiracy theory to it.

I verified that Barsoomian did work as a DOJ attorney in a Juducial Watch FOIA lawsuit against the FBI in 2002.

Just a name reference, though, no detail about her level of involvement.

Apparently Stone and others have claimed that DOJ records about her role in FOIA cases have been destroyed.

Anyway, those two cases were 15 and 20 years ago, so, even with full records, it might be really hard to prove conflict of interest.
