Yeah, big KKK presence in the DPRM.
I grew up in MD in the 60’s and 70’s, and can remember some little country stores that still had “White Parking Only” signs. The KKK was non-existent then.
Actually the Klan tried to adopt a highway, really just a country road, right near where this murder took place. It was back in the 90s.
