It is about 10 years ago. The CPUSA didn’t run a candidate in 2008 because the dimrats were so close to the commies.

Yes they did, BHO, in his first political campaign, ran as the New Party candidate. The New Party is a coalition of Socialist splinter groups. He then went mainstream as far as labeling goes and re- branded as a Democrat.
Socialists began their takeover od the Democrat Party beginning in the 1970s. The takeover was completed with the election and Presidency of BHO.
