I don’t understand why libs are so sure RvW is going to be overturned.

It probably won’t be. I’d be thrilled if it were, but it’s pretty unlikely.

I think it's DUE to be overturned. It never should have happened.

It will then go back to the states.

Just a scare tactic to get the Leftists motivated.

Abortion will never be Illegal in this Country, but it will be limited in scope if the SCOTUS is transformed from the Legislative Body it has become with Activist Liberal Justices who have no respect for the Constitution.

If Roe were overturned, making the question of abortion a state issue, I wonder how many states would retain their existing practices, and how many would ban it severely or completely, seeing the degraded moral condition of this country.

My guess is that very few states would ban it outright.

Leftists are frightened little children and RvW is the Boogieman.

They intone the word just to give themselves goosebumps.

"I don’t understand why libs are so sure RvW is going to be overturned."

They're believing their own scare tactics.

For RvW to be ‘overturned’, there first has to be a ‘case’.

For there to be a ‘case’ there must be a ‘wrongdoing’.

I cannot think of a way for that to actually come about.

RvW is just the Boogie Man du Jour the MSM uses for ever SCOTUS appointment................

That is how I feel about it.

These choices have less to do with reversing Roe v Wade and more about returning sanity and the rule of law to our judiciary branch.

But this is ALL the Left has. They have NO OTHER RALLYING POINT. Most Americans want the border protected including hispanics and blacks. Most Americans like what they see in the economy and foreign affairs. Identity politics is starting to run aground on the rocks as more numerous fragmented portions of the electorate are pitted against each other and forced to take sides.

Hysteria on Roe v Wade is all they have.

I agree. The best we can hope folks for IMO is to reduce the number of them by defunding Planned Parenthood and other butcher shops.

Now the SCOTUS could assign a human rights category for the unborn, that would result in an overturn too.

We’ll have to wait and see.

The article is baseless.

A more conservative USSC will almost definitely revise RvW around the edges, but will stop far short of overturning it.

The party of we’ve got nothing to offer but fear itself is just using baby murder as a point of political rhetoric to scare women voters.

Even if it is overturned, it will then be up to each state to individually decide. So unless all of these racist, population control, sex without consequence, child murderers know in their deepest darkest that they are wrong and not supported by the majority in their states, what are they worried about?

I don’t understand why libs are so sure RvW is going to be overturned.

It's probably more likely that control over abortion will be returned to the individual states, with restrictions upheld by the Court.

They aren’t worried. They just pretend to be in order to fire up their base.

Even if it were overturned, that would only mean that the States can prohibit abortion. But no state is going to prohibit abortion outright. The Dems themselves say that 65% of the voters favor Roe. So why would they elect reps who would prohibit abortion?

I agree. I don't think it will be overturned either. It would be like touching the third rail. I do think that the Dems and Libs are frothing at the mouth over that one issue during the USSC candidate selection process in order to do what they do about anything 'Trump'...whip up the Left...well...because...Trump.

The Dems seem to be 100% sure it will be overturned. I see it no more than 50-50.

Roe v. Wade was classic “judicial legislation”. This is much akin to Obama’s “executive legislation” via executive order. The problem with that is the courts and executive branch can’t really legislate. The validity of judicial and executive “law” is that it can be disregarded or changed at any time. Roe v Wade is not “law”.
