When the president hits the stage Thursday in Great Falls, Montana, it likely won’t be your average Donald Trump political rally. This one’s personal.
That’s because Trump is heading to Big Sky Country to do more than just gin up Republican voters and try to take away a Democratic Senate seat in a traditionally red state. He has a personal score to settle with the state’s senior senator, Democrat Jon Tester, whom he has called “very dishonest.”
Why? Three words explain it: Doctor Ronny Jackson.

I’ve never been there, but have heard that Montana politics has some unique elements, and that Montana Democrats aren’t nearly as liberal as those in other places.
But this is where it’s good to nationalize these elections. A vote for Jon Tester is a vote for Chuck Schumer as majority leader. A vote for any Democrat House candidate is a vote for Nancy Pelosi as speaker, etc.

Girding for a hostile visit to his state from President Trump, Democratic Sen. Jon Tester took out full-page newspaper ads Thursday welcoming the commander in chief to Montana and thanking him for signing 16 bills that Tester had pushed.
Trump is scheduled to appear at a rally Thursday afternoon in Great Falls, where he hopes to give a boost to Tester’s Republican challenger, State Auditor Matt Rosendale.
Montana is one of a handful of states that Trump won by a large margin in 2016 and that Republicans see as targets to pick up Senate seats this fall.

Tester IS as liberal as Democrats in other places.
Tester is hard left. For example his 2017 rating by the ACU is 96% left. A vote for Tester is not just a vote for Tester's Schumer vote. It's a vote for his entire 96% liberal voting record.
Testy is your typical progressive. He ruins people for personal and political gain, but also because, like most progressives, he enjoys it.
