I’m sure the accusation was made, but really Jews were courtiers, generals and advisors in both Christian and Moorish Spain. They were expelled because Ferdinand and Isabella wanted a unified Spain under one faith, and because this made them popular with Spanish commoners who resented Jewish wealth and prestige, and jumped at the chance to loot the former and persecute them on their way out, once they were shorn of the latter. Idi Amin made himself popular the same way when he expelled all the Asians. And for the same reason, both Spain and Uganda suffered as a result.

What about the western hemisphere and Spanish influence.... didn’t that happen after they booted the Jews out? What about Europe to the 1800’s?

Without contesting the other reasons for Spanish anti-Semitism, it is significant that from the time of their expulsion till today Jewish written records extoll the civilization and glorious achievements of “Al-Andalus”/Islamic-Spain - while Christain records (till only recently) only lament their persecutions & celebrate their resistance.

Did you ever ask how was it that Spanish Christians in Islamic occupied “Al-Andalus” did so much worse than those wealthy Jews they resented.
