Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) attacked Judge Amy Coney Barrett of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit on Monday, indicating that Democrats fear her appointment could be politically problematic.
Sens. Joe Donnelly (D-IN), Joe Manchin (D-WV), and Heidi Heitkamp (D-ND) are all from states that Trump won, and all are facing re-election this year. All three voted to confirm Justice Neil Gorsuch last year. Barrett is also from Indiana, the home state of Donnelly — and of Vice President Mike Pence.
Sens. Susan Collins (R-ME) and Lisa Murkowsi (R-AK) are both considered moderate votes. Schumer may hope to sway Collins, because she has specifically declared she would not vote to confirm a justice that would overturn Roe v. Wade. But Schumer’s critics note that Barrett has never actually said that she would do so.

She probably won’t be the nominee. But it sure is enlightening to hear Schumer’s gratuitous attacks on her Catholic faith.

Some of the things mentioned in the article sounded very good. Wants a rehearing on Roe v Wade. Thought Obamacare ruling was wrong. Mother of seven... what will the Left do? They're kindof over a barrel with this one.

The Judicial branch of government should not be legislating from the bench. That’s what the Dem Left wants and at this point is trying to get nothing less.

The majority of those who voted for Trump don’t want to see a Ginsberg, Sotomayer, or Kagan on the SCOTUS bench. Thy want a judiciary that will follow our constitution and nothing else.

In reading the tweets did Painter call Catholicism a cult? I know some Fundamentalists think that and also openly refer to Mormon as a cult but I did not think a lefty political candidate would spout that, even if he believes it.
