We bought our house in 1992 for $396 k and latest appraisal in 2016 was $440k. Original tax was 5k plus change, now 11k something. Wondrful investment we made. There are all kinds of tales of people unable to sell their homes due to real estate taxes.
We paid $189k for our house. Tax Value is now $369k, Zillow a little more. It was abandoned by a surgeon.
Ditto NC.
Those who trade stocks need to invest in U-Haul—Penske—Budget—Ryder, etc.
I have 5.58 acres in rural N Nevada- about 50 miles from center of Reno. My current total annual property taxes are $693.64. TOTAL.
What can i say? I’m on 1.15 acres with an appraised 440k home @ llk real estate tax. Long story short but I own 1/4 acre in New Mexico outside of Taos...$5 per year. Illinois sucks.
