“While expanding 529 plans to homeschoolers and beyond may be a laudable goal, if not done carefully, it could also potentially expose homeschooling families to interference by federal bureaucrats interested in imposing their policies on children previously out of their reach.”

And therein lies the rub!

So GLAD my boys are grown, educated at Tech College and gone on to productive lives. The nightly de-programming over supper and homework due to their K-12 Public Education WAS exhausting, but well worth it.

Yes, I have in front of me the leftist propaganda they put out prior to the election of these leftist school board members.

They claim to “respect the recommendation of the County Charter Application Review Team”.

They are now actively dismantling Charter schools in the county.

Add two more years to high school, and graduates would have the equivalent of an “associates degree”, eliminating the need for two years of college “core” classes.

This would make college cheaper (only two years to a degree), and kids would be a little more mature after high school...”maturity” being sorely ignored by parents and teachers these days.

Those who want to leave by the 12th grade, can graduate HS, and go into the military, or one of the trades (tech school, apprenticeship, etc).

Make the voting age 21 and things would improve a bit.

If they don’t at least finish 12 years of school, or don’t join the trades or the military, NO WELFARE. They need to put forth an effort to provide for their own future beyond operating the register at McDonalds.

In know many teaches teaching in charter and in the public system. The public system is flooding the charter schools with students with severe learning disabilities as well as violent ones to destroy the fabric off a promising idea that threatens their control

I think the Left’s loony proposal to eliminate ICE should be met with the equally vociferous proposal to eliminate the Department of Education.
