We all know why dems want open borders - they believe they’ll gain voters.

True. However, it's bigger than that for a growing number of them.
They hate the country, hate that it was founded by a bunch of old white men.
They hate that it's been the most successful country in the history of the world.
They hate that the country is run (politically, economically), in large part, by old white men.
They can't stand the fact that many of their home countries are 3rd world sh&*$holes and instead of staying there and trying to improve their own countries, they want to "fundamentally change" this country and bring it down a few notches.
