What rational family with young children would attend that Church?

Catholic church in Lexington hangs banner welcoming LGBTQ community (KY) I guess they missed that section in the bible about God burning to death two cities full of them.

They should also have signs welcoming adulterers, thieves, murderers, those who bear false witness, and those who vote for democrats - equally embracing all types of evil.
[Note: Churches really should welcome all of those groups, even democrats, but with an injunction to repent and reform, not with a celebration of their flaws and errors.]

I’d be more accepting of that banner if it also said “Hate the sin. Love the sinner”. But unfortunately it looks like this church is OK with both the sin and the sinner.

Of course you'd want your sinners, most of all,in church.Assuming they're being strongly encouraged to stop their sinful ways I can support such a banner.
But if they're being told that "your love is beautiful" then I'm writing to the local bishop *and* finding another parish.

Did God say that homosexual behavior was no longer an abomination?
Mmmm, guess I missed that one.

Quite so — the devil is in the details, though to be fair this is one of the more screamingly “liberal” cities today. I could more imagine a sign saying something like “Is your love life disappointing you? See the Expert.”

From the sign one can’t know if the church is saying so either.

Bingo!!! The logical consequence of such thinking in repudiating scripture to reconcile God to man instead of man to God. We are here: If there are no absolutes by which to judge society, then society is absolute. Francis Schaeffer, How Shall We Then Live? (Old Tappan NJ: Fleming H Revell Company, 1976), p. 224.

The “gay” of today isn’t necessarily the same as the hard case of yesteryear. He has arisen, and become misshapen, in the midst of a society where almost no touch of Christ can be seen.
A building essentially labeled “a place where well nigh perfect people may come, but everybody else get away” isn’t going to reach where it needs to go.
