I thought the count was closer to 54,000 American’s dead in the Korean War...

I wish the media would stop calling this “America’s forgotten war.” The forgotten war was fought eighty years earlier, in 1871. Koreans call it Shinmiyangyo. The big yellow and black flag the Navy captured was only returned to Seoul in 2007. You can look it up.

We have many forgotten wars, from the so-called 1812 war all the way up to the known but ignored World War I.
