President Donald Trump never mentioned Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez by name in his speech to supporters in Fargo, North Dakota on Wednesday evening. But he responded indirectly to the “democratic socialist’s” surprising primary win in New York’s 14th congressional district the day before by defending Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) — the agency Ocasio-Cortez has vowed to abolish. Trump told the cheering crowd:
In recent days, we’ve heard of shameless attacks on these courageous law enforcement officers [ICE]. Extremist Democrat politicians have called for the complete elimination of ICE. “We don’t want ICE anymore!” You know what would happen to parts of our country? It would be overrun with the worst criminal elements you have ever seen. Left-wing activists are trying to block ICE officers from doing their jobs, and publicly posting their home addresses, putting these incredible people and their families in harm’s way.

These radical Democrat protesters, they really want anarchy. But the only response they will find from our government is very strong law and order.

Exactly! Trump will define the Democrat Party by having Mad Maxine and Nutty Nancy as it’s spokepersons, and this Left-of-Bernie Democratic Socialist as the architect of its policies.
Democrats will split even wider while those in charge try their damndest to get both of the above to STFU.

That's good he complimented her. GOP will lose by attacking Ocavio-Cortez or using leftist Alinsky tactics. Both Dems and Repubs simply cannot afford to continue on the trajectory of making elections about Demographic identity politics. We need robust, intellectual debate.
We need to focus on the weaknesses of Cortez' IDEAS especially as it pertains to the economy, to abortion, to our failing public education system. We need to remind people how and why socialism has been tried and failed in so many countries (particularly in Latin America, where people are fleeing!)...
And I wish we had scientists brave enough to challenge established dogma on climate change...and why free-market principles and energy innovation should triumph over environmentalist hysteria.
Yes, congratulate her on her win, then note what the Democrats have become: Ocasio-Cortez, Nixon, Waters, Pelois... and so many more. Can’t many people running to join them, maybe run from them.
Why stop with ICE, might as well get rid of cops as well.
In times past, this type of criminal activity would have caused a knock on the door and a handcuffed trip to a FBI interrogation building for indictment. The Left knows that if these outrageous comments stand, others will act on them to intimidate their enemy from any self defense.
I strongly encourage my FRiends to watch this primer on Culteral Marxism. It is the weapon America will be used against Republican candidates. Cultural Marxism is at the roots of Identity Politics, which we see as the primary weapon against traditional America as we know it.
