Mexico is the LAST team I want to win this.

Ugh. Please no!

Poor Poland. Didn’t look too good. Then against, Mexico looked pretty good nailing a win over Germany but then getting hammered by Sweden today.

Entertaining tournament with no Italy, no Holland and no US. Wacky fun though.

South Korean coach said they had 1% chance of beating Germany. Apparently he had not followed Hillary getting butt whipped by Trump in 2016.
I hope this helps to bring down Angela merkel.

Oh my gosh. Shocking. So now I’m rooting for Argentina.

No. Argentina dissed Israel by cancelling a match there after BDS lobbying.

Hmmm.... didn’t know that. I like Messi, but maybe default to Croatia. They’re a scrappy team.

They were out-hustled by all three teams in their group. It was just chance that they were able to beat Sweden.

I noticed right away in the Germany v. Mexico match that the Mexicans were more in sync, working harder and were far faster.

Germany had plenty of opportunities and missed lots of relatively easy shots on goal.

I’ve adopted Croatia.

Croatia sat almost all their star players and players with yellow cards in their last group match. Everyone will be available for their next match.

Luka Modric and Cristiano Ronaldo have been the best two players so far. Modric looks more like a skateboarding kid than one of the best players in the world.

Have wanted Germany to lose everything (aside from other reasons) ever since discovering Ozil is a hard-core Muslim... has his prayer times and IF anyone interrupts him he goes ballistic on them.

He alone is reason ENOUGH for me to relish this demise.

He looks like the lead singer of "Happy Mondays".

LOL, at least we don’t have to worry about a potential Croatia-Serbia matchup down the road.

I believe one of the problems with “the curse” (whereby defending champions fare poorly in the following World Cup) may be caused by managers leaving players on the roster who may not belong there. This contest is every four years, and much changes during that time; at the very least, those players are four years older - and slower.

I thought the win against Sweden indicated they were sorting things out; I guess not.

Although they had a comeback against Sweden, I felt they didn’t deserve that last play victory.

In my mind didn’t think they would go far. They did not have the enthusiasm a team needs to push ahead. There was no joy in their play.

Some teams may not have the talent but they’re fun to watch because they have that team spirit to unite and work for each other. Germany was mechanical and no one will miss this team into the Round of 16 IMHO.

Admittedly I’m biased somewhat and can’t forget one of my favorite World Cup memories. The only thing better than the first goal... is the second goal.
