It needs more context for the uninformed.
Perhaps an introduction: “The Democratic Party has had a long hot summer.”
Then captions underneath the name of each speaker with their party affiliation (Maxine Waters, D, Los Angeles, CA, etc.)...
Then the ad ends with the name of the Republican challenger and “In these difficult times we need to support each other—please vote for X, Republican for Congress”.
You’re right. It’s too much ‘insider’ - playing to the base. Add a few minutes for coming our way and it would be stronger.
