“Cotton-picking” is something I have always considered to be a replacement oath that doesn’t refer to any class of people.

I will make it a point to add the term “cotton pickin’” to my repertoire of phrases and use it at every opportunity going forward.
I grew up in TX and “cotton pickin’” this and “cotton pickin’” that was a common every day expression, and had nothing to do with race. Matter of fact, most of those actually still doing cotton pickin by hand in those days were poor white folks. FOX is just busy virtue signaling.
The PC word now is “f***ing,” which is on its way to becoming fully acceptable in all media and settings. Bizarro!
