If someone breaks into my home I don’t have to hire a lawyer and go to court to get them out.

This should be the same. We don’t need to spend $100,000 per illegal to get them out. Buy them a first class one way ticket home and save over $99,000 dollars.

I seem to recall, years back, that there was a buffer zone on our side of the border. If a person crossed illegally into the US and was within X miles of the border there was no processing necessary, the Border Patrol could take them right back to the border and push them across it.

If the illegal entrant was across that line, further into the interior, then there had to be a process before being kicked back out.

Anyone else recall something like that? If so, what happened to that?
