When you are in prison, it is extremely difficult to keep working on court cases with your former employer.

The Liberal Lawyers that Mueller hired are going to take a big pay cut if he ends his investigation. Those guys have been making more money than they ever could in Private Practice. I contend that the reason they keep stringing this thing out is because of the fat paychecks these guys are getting at Tax Expense. It is the old adage of “Follow the Money”.

the new prosecutors are not joining Mueller’s team, but rather are being added to the case so that they could someday take responsibility for it when the special counsel ceases operation

This is utter gobbledygook doublespeak.

Mueller indicted the Russian cyber trolls and companies for show. He never expected them to respond, but they did through attorneys. Those attorneys are demanding Mueller show the evidence. Mueller is claiming national security, but any accused has the right to see his accusers and the evidence used to indict.

Mueller either has to show the evidence or drop the case. In the former, he will be shown to have a very weak case, an embarrassment for him. In the latter, if he drops it, there will enormous political blowback and embarrassment.

So his action here is to throw the case to someone else outside his office and let them take the blame.

The excuse that WAPO proffers is that it will take years to complete the case and Mueller’s office will have been closed by then. BULLCRAP!

Mueller and his team have looked like a bunch of rank amateurs in the Concord case. I'm not a lawyer and I'm not the smartest guy in any room, but even from my standpoint I could see he was heading for a disaster once it got into a courtroom.

The Democrats and the Beltway establishment pushed for a special counsel in the "Russian collusion" idiocy. They got one, and they handed him a bunch of hand grenades to throw at the Trump administration. Instead, it looks like Mueller and his team have been pulling pins out of those grenades and dropping them right at their own feet.

The plan was for the OIG report to signal the end of this and Mulehead would file a final report citing “misjudgments” and walk away. That hasn’t happened.

Mulehead’s office has every indication of “looking for something to do” and “trying to look busy,” as it’s clear they aren’t after Trump.

Mueller’s name in American history will stink for 1000 years, as a corrupt deep-state flunky who came out of retirement to foolishly helped conduct a coup against an elected President.
