It should calm down a bit in a few weeks when the Florida and New York people show up for critical meetings with the railroad, politicians and real estate developers. Then comes the Amtrak campaign.

The leeks and jalapenos have sprouted overnight.

Tomorrow and Sunday I shall be re-planting them apart from each other.

The okra and butternut squash grow like weeds! What I didn’t know is that if okra is left to its own devices and not cut or trimmed can grow to 10 feet and look more like a tree!

Sounds like things are going quite well with the garden.

A friend of Hubby’s used to rent a little of our farm to grow veggies to sell at the store he owned. He didn’t grow butternut squash but had other varieties. They all grew like weeds.
And his okra was tall.

Just be sure to cover every inch of your body when you pick the okra or you will be one massive ITCH from the hairs. NOT fun at all!

Summer’s here, too, though today was pretty cool due to rain. But the heat cranks back up tomorrow along with humidity. Not going to be fun for the next week or more. UGH!
