Well, the chain of custody is on the bottom of some lake/river due to a FIB/DS canoe accident.

The drive/drives and clones likely there also.

I’d only trust that someone in the NYCPD has a valid copy squirreled away in a safe somewhere.

Trying to sanitize 675,000 records just might be a challenge. The basic hammer is probably the only way, and since the number of records is known, it’s a pretty stark admission of culpability. Interesting problem, but Hillary has a scheme for it, you can count on that!
