Campaigns to secede from U.S., divide into new states compete for support

As far as Paul Preston is concerned, three Californias is one California too many.

The vice president and co-founder of the New Californiamovement, Mr. Preston wants to see the state divided in two along rural-urban lines, not split into three under venture capitalist Tim Draper’s Cal 3 initiative, which goes before the voters in November.

“With Draper, he makes sure every area has an urbanized zone that will ultimately be blue. You still have the rural-urban thing going on in his formula,” said Mr. Preston, who lives in Yuba City. “The rural people will be shafted again.”

There has been a long standing ecfort to break off far northern California, which is mostly rural, from the rest of the state, and call it the state of Jefferson.

I traveled through that region a couple years ago, and saw white a few yard signs and billboards advocating setting g up the state of Jefferson.

Then the borderwall will turn north from Arizona and run along the Nevada border. We need more money. Trump can put tariffs on the Nation of Californika and we’ll all have to pay higher food prices particularly on produce but it will be worth it.

That’s why we’re voting no, because as a life-long Californian, I can’t see burdening the country with three $hit Hole states, the current one is bad enough!
We had a chance when we voted Gray Davis out of the Governor’s Office, but we shenked it and elected Ahnold the Awful Schikckelgrubber. Who f*cked up the State while he was f*cking his Mexican maid and knocking out a love child.

“There has been a long standing ecfort to break off far northern California, which is mostly rural, from the rest of the state, and call it the state of Jefferson.”

Six CA county boards of supervisors have voted in favor of Jefferson. And some of the southern counties in Oregon would like to join in.

What is the population split between rural and urban in CA?

If they get the 3 state thing they want and they’re all still blue, how can you even stop it if you don’t have the votes?

The three state proposal creates two neo-communist states where today there is only one.

It would be very interesting to see a County by County vote on separation from the State and another on separation from the Union.

I’ve looked at the Cal3 proposal. It will not help Conservatives in California at all.

I saw a breakout of the proposed three-state solution. It is carefully designed to create three mini-socialist states. All that happens is the addition of four more RAT Senators.

Western Washington and Western Oregon should be combined into one state, with Eastern Washington and Eastern Oregon being combined into another state, and California left as it is.
