The most important principle here is that belief induces behavior.
The most important problem here is that beliefs have been distorted by false information.
But as individuals discover their beliefs are false and derived from manipulation and propaganda, there is a radical change in behavior.
Marx didn’t get this, neither did Alinsky. Why not? Because lying was their greatest sacrament.
I don’t worry about me but am concerned for my sons and their families. However, don’t ask about politics unless you want to hear the unvarnished truth.
Most don’t but I like a good argument with libs. They all end with “I don’t want to talk about this anymore.”
But as a Believer I know it is in God’s hands and I will never back down.

Yes, it’s a religion. But the proportion is where hopes and dreams become reality.
Of the roughly 50% of our nation’s citizens, or voters, who vote the wrong way, only something like 20-30% (or 40-60% of the total left leaning voters) are religious in the way you mention. The rest are independents or otherwise more normal minded people. These are the ones who are not zealots and will turn as they find out what’s really going on.
So the absolute number, in my estimation, is roughly a minimum of 10-15 million voters.
