The Senate Intelligence Committee held a hearing on the policy response to Russian interference in the 2016 elections. Witnesses included two officials who served under the Obama administration, former Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Victoria Nuland and former National Security Council Cybersecurity Coordinator Michael Daniel. Both witnesses discussed the timeline and initial government response to cybersecurity warnings about Russia and later told members that China would most likely be the next major cybersecurity threat to the U.S.
at 35:30 Victoria Nuland testified that she "actively chose not to be part" of a briefing with Chris Steele at the State Department in October 2016 and then claimed that she was not aware of [the briefing] until after.
How did she choose not to be a part of a meeting that she was not aware of?
She’s a DEMOCRAT....they LIE...it’s what they DO!
The government needs a completely isolated network. Personnel who need access to the regular web should have a separate computer for that. Unauthorized transfer of information from Government web to common web should be a mandatory death penalty.
She may have meant she wasn’t aware of what the meeting was about until after when people started yacking.
I saw the same film clip a few days ago, and I noticed the same thing.
What seemed weird was that the Congressman asking the questions and the witness (Nuland?) both seemed oblivious to the contradiction.
I assumed I had missed something, and I did no further checking.
HOORAY Thomas Dowling. Another liar from The Most Evil Administration in the history of the republic.
who?
Oh! My gosh - Hillary gave her one of her old couch covers...
