Blue states raising barriers to faith-based adoptions
The Washington Times ^ | June 20, 2018 | Bradford Richardson

Faith-based groups have an important role to play in clearing the backlog of foster children waiting to be placed with loving families, analysts say, yet several liberal jurisdictions have moved recently to create a barrier between faith and adoption.

In California, Massachusetts, Illinois, Philadelphia and the District of Columbia, adoption agencies have been forced to shut their doors because of their conviction that children should be placed with a mother and a father.

Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin said social science has shown consistently that children fare best when they are raised by a mother and father who stay together throughout the child’s upbringing.

“Every kid wants a father and a mother,” Mr. Bevin, a Republican, said Wednesday at The Heritage Foundation. “The idea that we need to protect our children from that is absurd. This idea that we need to be worried about certain organizations making that as an option for kids exclusive of some other option, and that’s somehow detrimental.”

Religious groups have played an important role in arranging adoptions in the U.S.

Now Democrat politicians are preventing faith based groups and Christian couples from adopting children.

I’d venture to say LA, Chicago and Philadelphia need more couples per capita to adopt than anywhere other than the Southern Delta.

May just be me but I smell a Constitutional issue brewing here as freedom of religion is an enumerated right. So using that freedom in a negative was is a violation

Thoughts?

The culture war goes on.

Or, the war against God and His goodness by the evil forces of the spirit of the age led by the evil one.

That’s where we are at. We are compelled to pander to and cater to demands of homosexual activists, to prove that we don’t discriminate.

Hoping the people will forget the Hart lesbian couple who killed six children by driving off the cliff in California.

They will just cite the Turpin family - another sadistic couple who tortured their own children.

Where are you God?

This was my main reason for opposing same sex marriage. Favoring married couples was the last legal reason to give preference to heterosexual couples in adoption. Now that’s gone.

How can misguided, low-information state officials be getting away with abridging constitutionally enumerated protections, wrongly ignoring 1st Amendment-protected religious expression in recent cases, unless citizens who have been harassed by such states have never been taught that they can work with their federal lawmakers to make punitive laws to discourage state actors from abridging their enumerated protections?

In fact, consider that Acts 22:25-29 shows that Paul used his Roman citizenship to save himself from being flogged.

H O W E V E R …

In addition to inexcusable ignorance of constitutionally enumerated protections, there is another problem.

More specifically, we are still stuck with a corrupt, post-17th Amendment ratification Congress left over from the lawless Obama Administration, anti-religious expression lawmakers as bad as the offending state actors, career lawmakers who have an Obama era track record for wrongly remaining silent while state actors harassed citizens for exercising religious expression.

The remedy …

Patriots need to finish the job that they started when they elected Trump president.

More specifically, patriots now need to be making sure that there are plenty of Trump-supporting candidates on the 2018 primary ballots, candidates who will be willing to make laws to punish state actors who couldn't care less about our enumerated protections.

Patriots then need to pink-slip career lawmakers by sending patriot candidate lawmakers to DC on election day so they can start supporting Trump in weeding the constitutionally enumerated rights abusers out of the system.

And until the states wise up and repeal the ill-conceived 17th Amendment, as evidenced by concerns about the integrity of the outcome of Alabama's and Pennsylvania's special elections, patriot candidates need to win elections by a large enough margin to compensate for the following concerns.

No religious organization should ever get in bed with a government agency to facilitate adoptions -- PERIOD.

Responsible parents have been adopting children since the dawn of human civilization without the involvement of some sh!t-bag government agency.

Declare these areas dens of child perversion and send in a few divisions of Marines and Airborne to clean them out. Appoint a military governor and place their legislatures under house arrest.
