Didn’t the Soviet Union and North Korea initiate a peace process in the early 1950’s bring together both Koreas in a unified peninsula?

Mao was a Stalinist for a period of time, as the CCCP needed rice and PRC desired weaponry. Did Mao provide introduction? Perhaps. The PRC enjoined the ground forces as USSR provided air support.
