I don’t think so. China views Russia as a bigger threat to them than the USA. China wants the foothold so they can benefit from the billions that would flow into NK if things work out. Their advantage would be to turn NK into another Hong Kong.
China is not threatened by Russia. No one is threatened by Russia. Russia has 120 million people and an economy the size of Spain’s. They can be disruptive and devious when it suits their purpose but they cannot carry out any grand schemes of conquest and world domination.
China on the other hand has 1.3 billion people and the worlds largest economy.
