80% of the asylum applicants are pleading reasons which do not qualify for asylum. But they have clogged up the court system so heavily that it can take two years for their case to ever come up and if turned loose they seldom if ever appear. Hence, jail them as the criminals they are and as like all parents in jail, their children are removed. That's the same process and standard as US citizens but the libtards think illegal aliens have more rights than US citizens.
