FBI Director Christopher Wray Has Made It Clear He Will Not Share Docs With Congress

Shortened title.

Full title: Judge Napolitano Says FBI Director Christopher Wray Has Made It Clear He Will Not Share Docs With Congress

Fox News senior judicial analyst Judge Andrew Napolitano said he was disturbed by FBI Director Christopher Wray’s refusal to cooperate with Congress in their mission to obtain certain documents.

“What I saw yesterday that startled me the most, it wasn’t the Democrats getting their narrative out of this, that this has nothing to do with Russia or the Republicans getting their narrative out of this. That the investigation of Hillary was so wide of a mark, we’ve never seen anything like it. It was obviously motivated by politics” Napolitano said on “Fox & Friends” Tuesday.

“I saw a message from Chris Wray, the director of the FBI to Devin Nunes, ‘we are not giving up documents that are protected by privilege.’ What’s protected by privilege? The Mueller documents that were shown to a grand jury that reflect the thoughts and impressions of investigators and prosecutors, or where witnesses were promised confidentiality,” he said.

I thought the FBI Director was supposed to report to the Attorney General.

The Attorney General should order him to produce the documents legally requested by Congress as part of their oversight responsibility.

What part of “co-equal branches of government” is unclear to him?

When Obama promised to “fundamentally transform” America, that was the one promise he delivered on. I miss the rule of law.

If Trump won’t fire Wray for refusing to be held accountable to Congress then Congress needs to impeach Wray and remove him.

And of course PDJT can't just pick up the phone and order Wray to turn over the documents, because the DOJ is an "independent agency," and reports to no one.

Unless the President happens to be a Democrat, in which case the DOJ functions as his/her personal fixer, law firm, and death squad.

And the Attorney General reports directly to the President.

PDJT can order the docs turned over.

Congress won’t do anything. Unless Gowdy keeps his promise to get really, really mad.

I’m sure that Congress can change his mind. They hold the purse strings and oversight.

These Bureaucratic clowns are saying they are above the U.S. Constitution.

Time to start firing and arresting them all. I am sick of this crap.

They are protecting Traitors to the Republic. Time for President Trump to drop the hammer.

I could swear some guy named Donald Trump, could make the FBI share the documents, but he never seems to help Congress do just that.

He can but he has promised to take a hands off approach until the Mueller probe is completed. He has also said he may find it necessary to get involved in spite of his commitments.

Since the IG report carefully omitted his name, then the answer would be “yes”.

I find this almost satisfying. I think it was Gowdy last week who announced, in bold terms, that documents had to be produced on Monday (yesterday). No Ifs. No Ands. No Buts. If it didn’t happen (and it didn’t) then on Wednesday (tomorrow) people who see drastic consequences. Really drastic. No more kidding around.

Which means we are likely to see a stern letter.

But it also means that Congress should never be taken seriously. Rule of law? It’s all about who you are and what you can get away with. Laws are for suckers.

Those documents implicate somebody, and perhaps several people.
It has to be serious for a new FBI director to join in the obstruction.
The FBI and the DOJ are protecting somebody.
The American people deserve to know the truth. NOW.
