But I thought neither the FBI nor the Inspector General actually looked at their personal devices. I sent a letter to you, Director Wray, this morning on this topic, but I wanted to ask you, how can the FBI conclude no classified material was on their personal devices if you didn't even look at their devices?Wray: Mr. Chairman, first as to your letter, I haven't obviously seen your letter of today but I'll be happy to take a look at it and make sure we're being responsive to you on that. On the second part of your question and the words in our response to the Inspector General's report, I don't think we're attempting to charactize some independent investigation of our own but rather to refer to the language in the Inspector General's report and to clarify that the findings that we're reacting to did not themselves identify any passage of classified information.
The approach Strzok and Gauhar took in reviewing the Hillary emails found on Weiner’s laptop was absurdly corrupt.
As they described it, they were checking to see if any classified info on Weiner’s laptop was any different from what they had seen already from Hillary’s emails, and decided there was nothing new, it was the same classified info they had already seen.
But that’s not the main point. The point is not whether there was different classified info, but that the classified info was somewhere it was not legally permitted to be.
Their reasoning would seem to be that if someone found a thumb drive on the floor in Grand Central Station and handed it over to the police, it would be of no legal concern if it contained Hillary classified information as long as it was the same classified information the FBI had already read from somewhere else.
The massive amount of classified info on a home computer being in the care of a Weiner should be enough to lock Huma and Hitlery up for decades.
