“Evidence is in the blueberry bushes in Henry David Thoreau’s Walden Pond, the dwindling population of polar bears of the Arctic and the dying corals worldwide. Scientists have documented 28,800 cases of plants and animals “responding consistently to temperature changes,”
Life ADAPTING to “temperature change” is what is being observed. Even the polar bear population is not declining; they too are adapting from what life demanded of them to what life has possible for them, in a chaging world.
Adaptation, not a stagnant status quo, is how life on earth became what it is today. And that LIFE is robust and strong in the sense of its ability to adapt, to continuously adapt, even when and where it means some species previosuly advantaged become disadvantaged and some species previously disadvantaged becomes advantaged. Even that is not doom, but LIFE protecting itself, so that LIFE goes on.
Climate change is not a doom and gloom end of life and certainly not the end of our living on this planet.
We too adapt, and a single fact, our ability to survive in just about every climate on earth shows that - we are among the few species of life that can to that.
And our exapanded and expansive technological knowlegde means we are poised and capable of mitigating and adapting to the effects of “climate change” massively more than humans have ever been before.
What should we do, what can we do about “climate change”? DEAL WITH IT - children.
‘Adaptation, not a stagnant status quo, is how life on earth became what it is today.’
many on this forum would bitterly deny that statement...
There are more polar bears now then there were in the 70.
I can not argue about the other but that is a stone cold fact.
