Meghan Markle's father said Monday that his new son-in-law Prince Harry told him not to immediately write off President Trump.

"I was complaining I didn’t like Donald Trump. He (Prince Harry) said, 'Give Donald Trump a chance,'” Thomas Markle told ITV’s "Good Morning Britain."

"I sort of disagreed with that," added Markle, whose daughter, American actress Meghan Markle, tied the knot with the sixth in line to the British throne last month. "But I still like Harry."

“That was his politics. I have my politics,” Markle, 73, told the British morning show. “We had conversations about it.”

Asked if he believed Harry was a Trump supporter, Markle told “Good Morning Britain” host Piers Morgan, “I would hope not now, but at the time he might’ve been.”

Queen Elizabeth II “has to remain strictly neutral with respect to political matters,” according to Kensington Palace’s website. Members of the royal family are also expected to maintain political neutrality.

The Prince was probably just being diplomatic. Great Britain will have to work with Mr. Trump for the duration of his presidencies, so they may as well present a positive attitude about it. Everyone knows that The American President would notice and remember if Harry said something ugly about the GOP while talking to Meghan’s father.

Prince Harry has said that Michelle Obola, I mean Obama, introduced him to his new bride, Meghan. They really wanted the Obamas at the wedding, but it was decided not to invited any politicians at all.

Even funnier is the implication that Dad Markle may fall out with Harry over Harry’s neutral attitude toward Trump. Harry may not be good enough for Miss Megs in her dad’s view!

I wonder how Prince Harry’s real father, James Hewitt, feels about it.

I’ve always liked Harry more than the others. He seems less stuck up and pretentious. If this is true, its one more reason.

The circus continues. Who knows if this is true but if it is, then Harry is several magnitudes more intelligent than I gave him credit for.
