Yeah, I miss my Dad, my Mom died when I was 8 and he raised me and my sister.

Son and I are heading out mid-morning tomorrow and staying there overnight.

Should be a blast and great weather.

Oh my. Losing your mom at such a young age had to be tough.
My parents are both gone, too, but I was an adult when they passed.

I wasn’t sure which day y’all were planning to go. It sounds like a cool place and should fun for both of you.
Hope you don’t forget to snap a pic or two. :-)

Got a few things done around the house today since Hubby isn’t here to get underfoot. LOL! He called a little earlier and said they’re not sure how they’ll get home from Detroit tomorrow evening. I-75 South doesn’t exist up there any more and another highway they were thinking about taking is missing 10 or more miles. I’m not sure when he’ll roll in.

Hey, that’s a pretty good rainfall! Glad you got that much.

We need some rain now. I went out at sunset to watch the fireflies wake up and come up out of the grass and noticed the soybean leaves are droopy. The heat we’ve had the past couple of days, and will have the next week, doesn’t help.

I gather AJ is up, up, and away by now.

His non-stop flight (a summer deal) departs at 8:02p Alaska time and arrives in Atlanta at 6:39a Atlanta time (2:39a Alaska time).

Toooooo long for me. I hope he can sleep a bit, although he’s not very hopeful.
