One of the information issues with the IG report is that its written entirely from an insiders perspective. Therefore without an understanding of how divisions within Main Justice related to the discussed activity within FBI main DC offices it can be very confusing to understand.
The insider narration makes it difficult to see what happened with the Huma Abedin and Anthony Weiner laptop; and how the Clinton emails were discovered. However, because the issue is so important the IG report spends three chapters on this time-frame between September 28th and October 29th, 2016; and ultimately the next day, Oct. 30th, when a search warrant was executed for the laptop content.

Fixed in the interest of honesty.
Which is why we dont trust anyone in the Senior Executive Services
That same point applies to other choices made during Hillary's exoneration such as the immunity, destruction of evidence, avoidance of putting Hillary under oath, avoidance of serious questioning, etc. That same logic in reverse applies to almost every Trump investigation decision. They spied liberally and used bogus evidence to support widening their investigation. They attacked subordinates instead granting them all immunity, they want Trump under oath, etc etc.
Eventually every intellecutally honest person will see this. The true Trump haters are a tiny minority, most others are liberals being told to hate and the media will never stop lying about Trump. Trump is not going to win over many independents by firing Mueller. He will win them over by focussing on MAGA and perhaps some foreign policy successes.
Looks like sundance is no longer asserting that Strouk, priestap, page et al are testifying behind the scenes against the obama clinton cabal.
Gee, after making this unsupported claim for well over a year, crickets!
And what the IG says demolishes the idea that the laptop contents were not significant. It also demolishes the explanation that "The team" didn't want the contents to be significant. The IG concludes that none of the reasons offered explain "the team's" inaction makes any sense, and implies that SDNY, New York FBI, and other (unnamed) external players are the only reason the case was reopened. The whiff of a suggestion that a cover-up by "the team" was in progress tells you that regardless of what the MYE team wanted to believe, they knew quite well that what was on the laptop was toxic to Hillary's cause (and theirs.)
This is as far as the IG is going to go--because it's as far as he can go based on his mandate. The next step is for someone who can compel testimony under oath to ask the question of "the team's" members: "What is the real reason and why have you lied about your reasons for failing to reopen the investigation?"
That is the role of a Grand Jury, and although I see lots of commentators claiming that's what Huber is doing, I see no real evidence that this is true.
This stooge is wrong 90% of the time. The funniest part is when his conspiracies dont pan out he moves on as if he never claimed it.
Don’t you understand 3d chess....trust sessions. trust the plan...the big ugly has begun. Huber has 25 thousand sealed indictments.
That is exactly what I have written on numerous occasions! He spends months pimping some theory then, boom, it all goes up in smoke and you never hear him address it again. Meanwhile, anyone who questioned him during the period was banned. Unbelievable.
He does provide good documents, but the spin on them is often wrong, and some of his supporters are just as bad as the rabid huffpo’s.
Huber has not been assigned to investigate or prosecute anyone. This is another CTH Sundunce grossly inaccurate guess of his, unsupported by any evidence whatsoever. Meanwhile, sessions appointment letter to huber listed the three things huber was assigned. It is an internal DOJ review of resource management. Nothing more. Nothing.
In other words, no one is investigating anything pertaining to clinton obama.
Dont believe mark bradman. He is almost always wrong.
As for Sundance, he isn't the only tweeter claiming that there are HUGE goings-on going on, and "The Silent Executioner" Jeff Sessions is laying the groundwork and setting-up public opinion for massive indictments.
To believe this, you have to believe that Horowitz's very Comeyesque strategy of laying out what are genuinely shocking abuses and then concluding as he does that "we couldn't really find any evidence of bias here" is all part of some huge strategy.
Andrew McCarthy just tonight has pretty much demolished this idea, which is based on nothing more than wishful thinking. Meanwhile, I was derided elsewhere because "Trump has already issued a secret EO declassifying and unredacting 'everything.' AND THEN YOU'LL SEE"
Sad thing is, Sundance isn't even the craziest of the crazies out there. This guy Thomas Wictor has 121K followers, and believes inter alia that the Saudi's gave 5 trillion dollars to Israel to develop their weapons, that they have "super soldiers" (who've been less than super against third world, tenth rate Iranian proxies) and that--Oh yeah--cubes can fly. Yes, he seems to be genuinely unaware that unless a shape generates lift (is, in other words, aerodynamic) that it will fall freely in the earth's gravity but ... there is a grand plan, even grander than Sundance's plan afoot.
When last I checked in, his brainless followers were sucking up a theory that Robert Mueller was secretly a "white hat" all evidence, all history, all past associations and all personnel on his current team to the contrary notwithstanding.
Previously he elaborated daily on the fact that James Comey was "in on the joke," but eventually Comey's idiotic self-promotion and smarmy superciliousness forced even him to conclude that Comey was an enemy of the President's. He still does claim that General Flynn deliberately took a plea to a USC Sec 18, 1001 violation to deliberately trap the Deep State, apparently forgetting that that would make Mueller's team black hats after all. But never mind. Logical self-consistency is in very short supply with these types.
Meanwhile, various other lunatics have been assuring the twittersphere that the very lack of any movement anywhere else in the DOJ is in and of itself the proof positive of enormous legal wheels in motion. People who've actually worked for the DOJ like Levin and McCarthy are generally treated as pariahs because they don't own stock in craziness.
My prediction is the next IG report, detailing what was clearly a perpetrated fraud on the FISC for the purposes of establishing an IC legend to bring down the President will lay those facts pretty clearly, and once again bail in the conclusion of the report, finding that the FBI acted entirely properly.
When Sundance enthusiastically supported RyanCare in early 2017, I questioned his “conservative credentials”.
Result? Like a gutless fraud getting exposed, he shadowbanned me.
I go there less and less often, but I note that he has toned down the Sessions Sycophancy.
Wasn’t one of the folders in the laptop titled insurance and didn’t Strok also reference insurance in his at first redacted texts?
