This leaves open the question of whether there are enough open border Republicans around to combine their votes with Democrats to override a veto. Most likely there are, but at the same time many of these pro-amnesty types want to be seen as team players once they’re up for re-election, when openly taking the side of Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi against Trump won’t help them.

i believe the answer to that is “NO”, true in both the Senate and the House ...
