Watergate prosecutor says Manafort may never again 'see the outside of a jail cell'

Former Watergate prosecutor Nick Akerman said on Friday that Paul Manafort may never again “see the outside of a jail cell” after his house arrest arrangement was revoked on Friday.

Manafort appeared in court after special counsel Robert Mueller asked a judge to revoke his pretrial release conditions, accusing him of attempting to tamper with potential witnesses.

During the hearing, the judge revoked Manafort's bail and ordered him to jail.

“Just to put this in historical perspective, what broke the Watergate case was when James McCord got a 25-year sentence,” Akerman said when asked about the hearing while appearing on MSNBC’s “Velshi & Ruhle." “He was one of the Watergate burglars. He got a 25-year sentence. He was sitting in jail because that’s what made him crack and cooperate.”

But Akerman noted that the former Trump campaign chairman, who is 69 years old, could soon be facing life in jail.

“And here it could be even worse,” Akerman said. “It could be the beginning of a life sentence. Paul Manafort, if he does not cooperate, may never ever see the outside of a jail cell.”

Mueller filed a superseding indictment against Manafort earlier, accusing him of obstruction of justice and conspiracy to obstruct justice.

Manafort has pleaded not guilty to all charges.

I guess there’s no trial. Just jail.

Why not beat a false confession out him, Mueller?

What would Mueller have to share if HE was behind bars facing life.

I don’t believe that. Even Blago will be getting out eventually. How long before Trump decides on pardoning Blago?

...and Mueller also asked the judge to CANCEL TRIAL DISCOVERY for the "Russian" firms he is "prosecuting." And the "judge" will no doubt agree.

Mueller is the Deep State EMPEROR. the entire corruptocracy backs his false mega-power.

BullShit! President Trump will not “Leave Manafort Behind!” This a$$hole just doesn’t have a clue about what loyalty means!

Bill Ayers is admittedly guilty as sin yet free as a bird because of investigation overreeach. These cases are all compromised against Trump.

Come get a job with Trump, they said.

It’ll be fun, they said.

Meanwhile we have all sorts of Democrat government criminals running around scot free, many still working for government, and Manafort sits in a jail cell.

Hilarious, Mr. Trump.

So this is an admission he is being pressured to cooperate.

Manafort’s untimely demise is very likely being arranged deep in the bowels of the “investigation.”

What’s being done to Manafort can happen to any American deemed “inconvenient.”

How DARE you besmirch Bob Mueller. Didn't you know he served in Vietnam! He led a platoon!
(well before he railroaded dozens of innocent defendants, prosecuted Richard Jewell to suicide, and allowed the Boston Maratha=on bombing to happen, the blood of 5 dead Americans on his hands...but so what! He led a PLATOON!!!)

“On June 17, 2010, President Obama nominated Jackson to fill a vacant seat on the United States District Court for the District of Columbia that was created by the transition to senior status in 2007 by Judge Gladys Kessler. Her nomination lapsed at the end of 2010, but Obama renominated her on January 5, 2011. The United States Senate confirmed Jackson in a 97-0 vote on March 17, 2011. She received her commission the next day.”

So she was “bonged” once, but Obola finally found a slot for her. The Senate, as usual, is a disgrace “confirming her” 97-0!

And you can be sure Trump will not support him and pardon. Also Trump should go after that damn communists judge and Mueller. He won’t do it.

If Obola can pardon Bergdahl and Bradly Manning then DJT can pardon Manafort...among others.

The same lousy media had horrible rumors about J Edgar Hoover’s personal life and attacks on Ken Starr.
