The rest of my grandkids are in Texas. Two of them in Dallas, went to pretty good private schools until this year, now in public schools and I don’t see them very often so don’t know how that’s going. The schools here in our more conservative town don’t seem too bad, although a couple of years ago I caught my grandson’s third grade teacher downloading and teaching common core math.

Well perhaps she had no choice. We can give her the benefit of the doubt! Administrators tend to be the most liberal and they force the teachers to do things the way they want.

i’m told the teachers here are pretty conservative - but i don’t know if that’s wishful thinking or actual knowledge. i would hope so, just as in Texas when the population is more conservative, the teachers can’t get too out of hand or parents would complain ;)

I was disgusted how liberal the professors were in the education department. And it seems like the 20 somethings were just buying at all. That was pretty demoralizing. Us older folks were just looking at each other shaking our heads.
