Global cooling is the baddie.
The radio show Coast to Coast AM (go ahead and laugh—much of it is silly, I know) had a scientist who disagreed with global warming. He said the Sun is in a phase now where it is sending less energy toward us and allowing the cooling of this planet.
This happened several times in recoded history and begins a period of 10 or more years of COOLING. He said we will scramble to find decent food from our farms as the many cold and frost alert nights will destroy Apr-June crops as it did this year in many states. People like baseball announcers kid each other and say “is it every warm in this city?” It won’t be funny if global cooling really sets in. Look at the many days in a row of Midwest and Northeast deep freeze and impassable roads for weeks at a time.

‘you’d prefer the world get colder?’
