The Jews are told that Jesus’ disciples hid the body and lied about Him coming back to life. The gospel authors go to great detail to disprove that theory.

Oh my goodness.

You people need to understand that the fact that chrstianity "accepts" (in a mitigated sense) the "old testament" not only doesn't in any way justify chrstianity, it doesn't even require Jews to be grateful for this! The Hebrew Bible was known to be of Divine origin before chrstianity even existed.

Jews reject J*sus because they are bound for all eternity to the Torah . . . as it has existed since Sinai (none of this "fufillment" garbage, please!). The Torah excludes any such religion as chrstianity, no matter how much of Judaism chrstianity "acknowledges."

If someone started a brand new religion that "accepted the 'new testament'" but added to it, would that prove it is authentic? Every chrstian would reject it because they think they already have the fullness of truth. This is exactly what Jews think of Torah.

Posts like this is why many don’t trust so-called Christians.
Just leave it be.

The Jews were looking for a conquering Messiah to rid them of the Romans; unfortunately they didn’t understand Isaiah. This Jewish lady believes in Yeshua as the Suffering Messiah to have suffered on the Cross for our sins.

Same reason as in the Gospels. The religious leadership acted as gatekeepers, preventing others from getting in so that they could have power over them. They were corrupt, and Jesus was a threat because he acted with God’s true authority, yet didn’t prevent others from coming to God.

Actually I think Jews and Christians arguing about the Messiah or not the Messiah are arguing over what will be apples and oranges when Yeshua returns, as the difference and the resolution of the difference will be made clear by Him in that day, and will be agknowleged then by many Christians and Jews and denied by many as well. I can only tell a Jew what I think and I leave eternal judgement of any Jew to G-d, not to me.

The untold reason why Jewish people do not believe Jesus is the Messiah!

Video: 'The religious leaders of the time were corrupt.'

This is no untold or secret reason. Jesus made it clear in Matthew 23:13:

"Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut the door of the kingdom of heaven in people's faces. You yourselves do not enter, nor will you let those enter who are trying to."

Throw in His comments about the money changers allowed to do business in the temple it's all straight forward.

The so-called religious men of the day were corrupt. Instead of focusing on leading people to God they were focusing on making money (much like some televangelists today and the Catholic church selling indulgences). True men of God would lead men to God. These people were looking out for their bottom line.

Jesus was calling out hucksters and hypocrites whose selfish greed kept people from connecting to God.

This may be unknown to Jews who don't read the New Testament but this isn't untold. It's in The Book.

Jesus is the Messiah!

Jesus and the notion of a Messiah is apparently the issue. Is he or isn't he? I accepted the salvation Jesus offered and am now born again in his spirit. So for me there is no problem but Jesus does pose a problem for others and I never really understood why.

Old Testament Hebrew books gave me the impression that people were seeking relief from the many laws, rules, and regulations they are required to observe to serve God. I suppose many thought there must be a better way to serve God.

Jesus is the Messiah!

My filter isn't working....

Roses are red,
Violets are bluish,
If not for Jesus,
We'd all be Jewish

Because if they believed Jesus was the messiah, they wouldn’t be Jews.

It’s like asking why atheists don’t believe in God. People who believe in God aren’t called atheists. People who believe Jesus was the messiah aren’t called Jews.

34 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee; how often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen doth gather her brood under her wings, and ye would not!
35 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate: and verily I say unto you, Ye shall not see me, until the time come when ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

9 And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.

10 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.

11 In that day shall there be a great mourning in Jerusalem, as the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddon.

12 And the land shall mourn, every family apart; the family of the house of David apart, and their wives apart; the family of the house of Nathan apart, and their wives apart;

13 The family of the house of Levi apart, and their wives apart; the family of Shimei apart, and their wives apart;

14 All the families that remain, every family apart, and their wives apart.

Psalm 118:22. “The stone the builders rejected
has become the cornerstone;
23the Lord has done this,
and it is marvelous in our eyes.”

The number one reason they rejected Jesus was because they were looking for a conquering king to come and reign and they would serve under Him in glory- When Jesus came as a humble servant- They rejected Him

The miracles performed by Jesus were VERY specific and Jewish in nature- so that there was NO way a Jew could deny that He was indeed the Son of God and was fulfilling prophecy- Yet because Jesus didn’t come back and wipe out Israel’s enemies as a conquering king- they Rejected Him

Every Jew at that time knew that what Jesus was performing, in regards to miracles, was a divine fulfillment of prophecy- and the miracles were so steeped in Jewish traditions and customs that they understood the significance of the miracles- yet still they rejected Him- Even the simple miracle of restoring the man’s eyesight with mud had very specific Jewish earmarks to it- We had a Jewish Christian come and teach the significance of Jesus’ miracles to us and it was eye opening just how steeped in Jewish tradition and customs they really were-

There was no doubt He was the Messiah- But the Jews knew they weren’t goi9gn to defeat their enemies and live in a kingdom- and so they rejected Him

You would think after WWII and the only world support for Israel they would be starting to think there's something to this Jesus thing.
