House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, R-Calif., has given the Justice Department until Tuesday to provide access to documents concerning the FBI's alleged informant looking into any Russian ties to President Trump's 2016 campaign.

In a letter sent Friday to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, Nunes said the records should be provided to all committee members "and designated staff" rather than just the so-called "Gang of Eight" -- which refers to Republican and Democratic leaders in both houses of Congress as well as top lawmakers from the intelligence panels.
"DOJ continues to obfuscate and delay its production using an array of tactics, such as incorrectly categorizing the requested documents as Gang-of-Eight-level material in order to limit access," wrote Nunes, referring to an April 30 subpoena for the documents. "Such conduct by DOJ is unacceptable because the Gang-of-Eight is a legal fiction that has no basis outside of the confines of Presidential approval and reporting of covert actions."

Trump can order Sessions or Rosenstein to release any document - unredacted and immediately.
If they don't obey, Trump can drive over to the DOJ with a bunch of U.S. Marshals, seize the documents, and release them himself.
Instead - Trump does nothing, except allow this political infection to fester, month after month after month.
No hum, another deadline. Another threat of action. And for this we pay them $174 k a year?
Find a US Marshall, deputize 1000 patriots and arrest them all.
I have a strong feeling that Devin Nunes will come out of this as the Iron Man, Thor, Captain America of the nation.
Nunes and his ilk are what make Americans PROUD. May God Bless Him.

Yes, that is the biggest worry I have with Trump.
They will ignore Nunes.. so what will he do after Tues deadline? What’s the consequences?
It is obvious that Rosenstein’s strategy is to run out the clock until the mid-term elections, hoping for a Democrat House in 2019.
He should be in a holding cell for contempt by now.

I’m gonna agree. Rosenschmuck will not only fail to turn over the docs he will also whitewash Horowitz’s IG report.
Until he specifies some actual consequences for not complying, he’s just blowing hot air.
